I had the great pleasure of working on this amazing documentary as the Storyboard and Concept Artist for the animated segments of the film.

TAPATOON
I adapted the legend of the origin of Spanish tapas to create the pilot for an animated series bringing to life anecdotes and curious facts about world cuisine and food history.

Mun2 ID that is a parody of the Pointy Boot mexican craze.
SCENARIOS USA
Mun2 intro for Scenarios USA, a national non-profit organization that uses writing and film to foster youth leadership, advocacy and self-expression in students across the country, with a focus on marginalized communities.

Promos for Universal Green week. These pieces were inspired by retro elementary school books.

AMOR DE CUMBIA
Promo for Valentines Day special on Mun2/NBCUniversal. Inspired by photonovelas, a photo based strip comic usually with a love theme common in Latin America.
This piece was a finalist for a 2011 Promax Award in the category of Best Art Direction & Design: On-air illustration.

MACHIN DECOTROCA
Animation for Mun2/NBC Universal. Inspired by the Japanese Dekotora trucks or “Decorated trucks” but in a Mexican-Norteño context.

ARO FILM
Animation commissioned by the sneaker brand Vialis Aro for their Aro Film Collection (2009). The film is based on a personal experience in the New York city subway.
Technique: Handdrawn frame by frame animation in TVPaint, After Effects and field recording with Edirol R09.

Show packaging for the morning music segment at Mun2 called "Morning Breath".

Show packaging for Mun2/NBC Universal show “The Shuffle”. Inspired by the Mexican educational “laminas”, poster-like instructional illustrations for kids.

MUN2 MENUS
Animations for Mun2 programming menus. These piece were inspired by a Richard McGuire comic in which the whole story was shown from straight above looking down. I wanted to create an animated visual narrative that traveled from the outside world to an actual menu in a Diner where you can read the TV programming schedule.
